A form four candidate from Embonga Secondary School was on Sunday caught with stolen goods.
The student identified as Biggy was caught red handed by his fellow candidates negotiating stolen mattresses at a barber shop in Embonga shopping center.
The other students had earlier conducted intelligence and came after him from school.
The furious candidates in crowd immediately administered mob justice on the two.
Evans one of the students informed the reporter that they have been suspecting the victim all along before.
“Our mattresses, shoes, uniforms and phones have disappeared. I knew he was responsible. He likes hiding in the dormitory when others are in class,” said Evans whose basketball shoes were stolen.
It took time before Nyamira OCS and residents attending the Embonga market day intervened to save the victims.
“If you find your colleague with an offence you should report to the school administration. It’s unlawful to beat up anyone. Another day you will not like it,” said Alex Mumo, the Nyamira OCS .
The police took the student back to school with students running after their van.
Residents were left wondering how the candidates managed to come out of the school instead of preparing for the ongoing KCSE examination which resumed on Monday morning.
