Three KCSE candidates were on Monday forced to sit their exams at the Kilimani Police Station after police found them with guns in a night raid.

The three who are aged 18, 19 and 26 got arrested when police raided their hideout after their accomplice had been arrested.

Two of them were students at Soweto Baptist Secondary School while the last studies at Kangemi High School.

According to police, a fourth suspect who is also a student escaped during the Wednesday night raid by police and investigations have since been launched to find him.

"They had two home-made guns capable of firing, several rolls of bhang, a mobile phone, perfumes and other assorted items," said Nairobi County Police Commander Japheth Koome.

Koome revealed that the three were arrested after police got complaints from a robbery victim who said that he had been robbed by three armed men on November 4.

"They robbed him of a MacBook laptop valued at Sh250,000, a mobile phone worth Sh53,000, a hard drive worth Sh15,000, a pair of black shoes valued at Sh1,200 and some assorted clothes," Koome said as reported by the Nation.

Four days later one of the suspects was arrested and the complainant identified the as his the shoes the suspect was wearing.

"Police commenced investigations and two other suspects were arrested. They later led police to the people who had sold the items to them and they were found to be students," he said.

The three will be arraigned Friday although they are also expected to be sitting their KCSE exams on the same day.
