The official marking of practical subjects for this year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams is set to start on June 16.

Kenya National examinations Council (KNEC) acting CEO Mercy Karogo said the exercise is expected to end on September 30.

Subjects being marked will be Art and design, Agriculture, Woodwork, Metal Work and Computer Studies.

“The school is expected to compile progress report of each candidate’s project work to be presented to the monitoring officers,” said Ms Karogo in her circular to head teachers across the country.

“Upon completion of the project, the candidate’s marks are to be uploaded online to the KNEC Website using the school’s username and password between June 15 and October 15,” said Kanogo.

She however warned that no exam results will be released without the projects marks that have to be submitted online on or before October 15.
