The Kenya National Examination Council has announced that the marking for 2017 KCSE practical exams will commence next week Friday.

Acting Chief Executive officer Mercy Karogo said the exercise will end on September 30.

Subjects with the project components are; Art and design, Agriculture, woodwork, metal work and computer studies.

“The school is expected to compile progress report of each candidate’s project work to be presented to the monitoring officers,” said Ms Karogo in a memo to secondary school heads across the country.

She continued, “Upon completion of the project, the candidate’s marks are to be uploaded online to the Knec Website using the school’s username and password between June 15 and October 15.”

Ms Karogo said principal will be expected to sign and certify on each page of the project marks and take them to the sub county director of education who will submit the project marks to examination council before November 6.

The theory examination will start on November 6 and end on November 29, 2017.
