Speaking during the official launch of the Form One selection in Nairobi Tuesday, the CS said he will neither sign off  for the year nor proceed for Christmas before the release of the recently concluded exams.

“I will say merry Christmas or sign off before my work is done and that means that until the KCSE results are finally out,” he said.

The CS surprised many when he released the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education two months earlier than its traditional dates.

This year's KCSE exams  brought on board a total 577,257 candidates which signified an increase of about 54,383 candidates from last year's total of 522,870 candidates.
