A suspected criminal has been arrested in Kambi Mwaniki estate in Eldoret town with goods worth Sh150,000.

Eldoret West OCPD Samuel Mutunga said the suspect, Hassan Farrah, has been residing in Eldoret and has been deceiving residents that he is a KDF official, yet he is a butcher."Farrah has rented several houses in which he has been using it to hide stolen properties. I want to confirm that he is not a KDF officer, therefore residents should not fall into his trap," said the police boss in Eldoret town, Saturday."We have started investigations to determine whether he has been involved in any other criminal activities. The suspect will be arraigned in court on Monday," he added. He gave a stern warning to criminals stealing from wananchi and purporting to be KDF officers."I urge wananchi to act as our watchdog by reporting any person suspected to be a criminal and I promise to take action against them," noted Mutunga. He, however, called upon politicians from the region to conduct their campaigns peacefully and refrain utterances that might cause violence."We will not allow some few self centered politicians to destabilise our county. We will not allow what transpired in 2007 to reoccur under our watch," added Mutunga.
