Police officers have arrested the KDF officer for reportedly defiling a 13-year-old girl on Wednesday in Gilgil.
The young girl was rushed to a private hospital while bleeding profusely from her private parts.
The witnesses who seek anonymity said that the soldier learned that the girl’s employers had left for work when he took the advantage of abusing her.
"The couple had left for their place of work when the suspect who is a soldier returned and repeatedly abused the minor leaving her for the dead," said the witness.
The witness added that they informed the police after hearing loud screams and seeing a trail of blood from the house. Police officers moved in and rushed the girl to hospital.
Gilgil Children’s officer Eunice Njuguna confirmed the incident adding that they were looking for a safe house where the girl would be housed while recovering as they look for her parents.
"The minor had been employed as a house help when the incident occurred and we are investigating how she kept out of school before taking the necessary measures," she said.
Gilgil OCPD Sarah Koki confirmed that the suspect was arrested and he would be charged with various offenses in court.
"The suspect has since been arrested after the incident while the minor is under the care of children officer recuperating," she said.
