A fight between alleged cops and KDF officers at Governors Club in Embakasi turned ugly when the policemen were overpowered.
According to blogger Robert Alai, the cops went to the station and came back later armed.
“When they didn't find the soldiers, wananchi became the victims. These police officers plus their commanders and the KDF officers should all be arrested and charged,” said Alai on Facebook.
He added, “We are demanding action from the IG over the assault of wananchi by KDF and police officers who were fighting over women. This incident happened at Governor's pub in Embakasi on 29th July 2016. Action has not been taken. We hope that all these officers will be disciplined.”
Quoting the Nyayo Estate Chairman, Alai said: “The assault of women and dragging them on the floor does not portray a good image of the police. If the commanders care, all these officers need to be arrested and charged in a court of law.”
He also called for the disciplining of the officers and their commanders.
CCTV footage showing what seems to be an altercation has also been shared by the blogger.
