The Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) has announced of a month-long recruitment exercise that is set to commence on Monday next week September 19, 2016.
A statement from the Defense Ministry of Defence website stated that eligible candidates are required to be Kenyan citizens of between the age of 18 and 26 years old, being medically and physically a fit according to the KDF minimum health standards.
"The Kenya Defense Forces is pleased to announce to the general public the recruitment of General recruits, Constabularies, and Tradesmen/women which is scheduled to take place from 19th September 2016 to 18th October 2016 at various centers countrywide," read the statement on their website.
Among other qualities in the advert stated that male recruits are supposed to weigh a maximum of 54.5 kilograms, while female counterparts should not be below 50 kilograms according to the provisions.
The advert further warned citizens that recruitment will only be conducted at the designated recruitment centers across the counties during daytime and before 1800hrs on weekdays.
Candidates who emerge successful shall be issued with calling letters immediately at the recruitment centers only by the recruiting officers.
Citizens are, however, cautioned that any person claiming to recruit or even issue any alleged calling letter outside the recruitment center will be doing so fraudulently.
