Kenya Bereau of Standards has banned the importation of used Australian cars from Dubai.
According to Kebs has cited lack of de-registration certificates.
In a statement on Tuesday, Kenya Bureau of Standards said the vehicles are exported to Dubai as accident cars.
"The cars, having been written-off, are repaired and sold to unsuspecting buyers," the standards agency said.
"Used vehicles without original de-registration certificates from Australia shall not be allowed into the country."
Kebs said it will inspect all used vehicles from Dubai and issue certificates of road worthiness.
"This is to ensure used vehicles imported into the country are safe for use and that importers get value for money," Kebs said.
