Kisumu County environmentalist Grace Kwamboka has challenged Kisumu's Migosi Car Wash residents to promote clean environment and plant vegetation cover around their residential places.
Speaking on Thursday morning to Migosi Car Wash residents on the importance of vegetation cover, Environmentalist Kwamboka called on the locals to plant more plant and to avoid dumping rubbish anyhow to keep environment clean.
According to her, the filthy environment locals live in is necessitated by dumping of rubbish anyhow and negligence of not keeping environment clean, citing that they needed to make their environment healthy, friendly and adorable to human stay.
She encouraged landlords to come up with a way of collecting rubbish piled by their tenants.
“We want our environment to be safe and clean for human stay, all we need to do is plant more plant, avoid throwing rubbish aimlessly as rubbish would make the environment filthy and not fit for human health,” said Kwamboka.
Migosi Car Wash chairperson Nancy Mactain also noted that through proper keeping of environment, locals would leave in environment safe from any disease.
Mactain called up on locals to consider having some education on environmental issues as away to keep their surrounding neat and admirable for human stay.
