Kiambu based political analyst Peter Ngure has cautioned Jubilee and NASA politicians against using the flopped International Criminal Court (ICC) cases as a campaign tool.

Ngure warns that re-opening the ICC debate and the 2007/2008 post poll chaos is not healthy for the country’s peace ahead of the August 8th polls.

In an interview on Tuesday, Ngure said that the country has not completely healed from the 2007/2008 post poll chaos and that discussing the issue of ICC will re-open healing wounds and create animosity among Kenyans.

He asked leaders from NASA and Jubilee  to campaign on relevant issues and stop making statements that may plunge the country into chaos.

“Jubilee and NASA should keep the ICC out of their campaigns if they mean well for this country,” he said during the interview.

The analyst believes that the country’s peace should be the first priority for every politician whether in government or not.

Mr. Ngure asked Kenyans to shun politicians who want to cause chaos through reckless remarks.

On Monday, Jubilee claimed that NASA is planning to re-introduce the ICC cases if the Raila Odinga led alliance wins the August polls.

The ruling party further claimed that NASA wants to use the flopped ICC cases to get sympathy votes in the coming August 8th general election.
