National Super Alliance (Nasa) affiliate parties including Narc, Chama cha Uzalendo, Ford Kenya and ODM have asked Kalonzo to stay away from the county’s politics as we inch closer to the August general elections.

The leaders argue that Kalonzo’s call for six-piece voting in this part of the nation is against the alliance’s objectives.

Led by Kitui East Narc parliamentary candidate Milton Mwendwa, the leaders have faulted Kalonzo, also former vice president for humiliating former lands minister Charity Kaluki Ngilu as she seeks to unseat the incumbent Dr Julius Malombe in the August polls.

“If he (Kalonzo) does not stop interfering with county politics, we will have no option but to withdraw our support to Nasa,’’ said Mwendwa, as quoted by Mediamax Network.

The candidate spoke to the press at a Kitui hotel, the candidates.

Other leaders who attended the press briefing included CCU Senate aspirant Elijah Kilonzi and Kitui Central parliamentary aspirant Daudi Kitonga (Narc).

The remarks of the leaders come after Kalonzo asked the residents to vote for Wiper Candidates in the region when that time comes. The issue of six-piece voting has continued to elicit mixed reactions from different factions.
