Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho is a man under siege if the latest political happenings in the Coast region are anything to go by.

Just barely a day after a blistering attack from President Uhuru Kenyatta, Joho has been attacked again and this time round by politicians from Kwale County, an area he may consider as a friendly political zone.

Kwale County ODM chairman Hassan Mwanyoha has asked the Governor who is also the deputy party leader to keep off the politics of the county as the region's political temperatures start to rise.

Speaking on Tuesday, Mwanyoha claimed that Joho is planning to use his position in the party to impose leaders on them in the run to the August polls.

"I will not allow Joho to interfere with Kwale affairs as he has always done in the past," he said.

Mwanyoha who fired a warning shot at the party leadership including Raila Odinga said that they will not take anything short of a free and fair nomination process.

He further warned that should the party impose candidates on them, they will consider decamping to another party that will listen to their demands.

The death of Senator Boy Juma Boy has left the county nearly fractured with many factions emerging as the race to fill his gap threats to tear the ODM Kwale chapter apart.
