Makueni Deputy Governor Adelina Mwau has told Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama to keep Makueni politics and concentrate on his region.
According to Mwau, Makueni is not a colony of Machakos County thus Muthama has no reason to meddle into the affairs of the residents and leaders of this part of the country.
The deputy governor affirmed that the leaders of this county respect him but he no right to continue talking about its political situation in his rallies.
Speaking at a funeral at Kasunguni Village in Kaiti constituency on Saturday, Mwau asked Muthama to recognize the independence of this area whenever he makes any remarks during rallies.
“We respect and love him but we have our independence in politics so he should keep off Makueni,” she said, as quoted by the Star.
The Deputy Governor also urged Muthama to stop exerting unnecessary pressure on leaders who had decamped Wiper Party a few months ago.
Muthama has, however, insisted that he will continue pushing for the dissolution of briefcase because they are confusing the people of Ukambani instead of popularizing the former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka as he seeks to run for Presidency in the next general polls.
A few days ago, Musyoka accused Muthama and his Siaya counterpart of plotting to lock him out of the race to State House.
