Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has hit out at Senator Hassan Omar accusing him of meddling in his personal life.Joho accused Omar of spreading malicious propaganda aimed at tarnishing his name.Speaking in Mombasa on Sunday, Joho asked Omar to keep off, saying he has no right to question his personal life.“Senator Omar should keep off my personal life and engage me on issues of public importance,” he said as quoted by the standard.Joho accused Omar of using malicious political tactics to woo residents to support his gubernatorial bid.The Mombasa Governor said he will not be intimidated by propaganda, adding that his re-election as governor is a done deal.“Senator Omar is wrong if he thinks he can send me home through malicious propaganda,” he added.Governor Joho asked Omar and his other rivals to brace up for a resounding defeat in August.“Let them prepare for a humiliating defeat if they think they can easily send me home in August,” he said.Joho urged his supporters to remain calm and peaceful exuding confidence of overcoming the storm currently facing him.Omar has been criticizing Joho’s administration saying it has done nothing for the locals, adding that Joho, whom he termed as the D- guy, has abandoned his mandate as governor.On Thursday, Omar asked Joho to step aside over claims of forging his KCSE certificate.
