Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has been urged to stop poking his nose into projects being initiated by the national government in this part of the nation.
Infrastructure PS John Mosonik called upon Mutua to stay away from the ongoing road construction projects in his backyard.
Speaking in Kisukioni market in Matungulu sub-county where he inspected the construction of construction of the Tala-Ol Donyo Sabuk road on Saturday, the PS lashed out at the county boss following his recent post on his official Facebook account trying to suggest that his government is behind the project.
Mutua took to Facebook and posted: “Under the Maendeleo Chap Chap work formula, Machakos County has more road networks than any other county in Kenya.”
Mosonik has, however come out to shed more light over the matter when he made it clear that Mutua’s government has not played any role in the ongoing road construction.
He further asked him to distance himself from all projects being undertaken by the national government and rather construct on his work as the county boss.
“I want to make it clear that this is a national government project and not the county government’s as earlier alleged.
The governor should, therefore, keep off as it is clear which roads are done by the counties and those done by the national government” as the Star quoted him.
