Opposition leaders from Ukambani are calling on their supporters to boycott the repeat presidential election slated for October 26.Led by Makueni MP Dan Maanzo and his Kaiti counterpart Joshua Kimilu, the lawmakers said the boycott would invalidate the reelection of Jubilee's candidate President Uhuru Kenyatta."It will provide a chance to question the validity of Uhuru's win, paving the way for fresh elections," said Maanzo, speaking in Wote Town over the weekend.NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka has withdrawn from the race citing unfair playing ground."We cannot participate in an election which the results are predetermined. We won't sanitise IEBC and Jubilee's evil plans," said Kimilu.Echoing the same sentiments, former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama said as NASA they will not participate in the repeat polls scheduled for later this month.“If one constituency, let alone a county, declines to participate in the vote, the reelection of Uhuru will be null and void. Our supporters must keep off the polling stations," Muthama remarked.
