Speaking at SDA central Church in Nakuru over the weekend, Education Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i said the Ministry will take action against anyone who keeps crowds near schools aimed at interfering with education.

“Let politicians be warned against interfering with learning institutions as the ministry will not relent in taking action,” he said.

The CS added that the Ministry has been holding meetings with various education stakeholders among them Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association, Kenya primary Schools Heads Association and representatives from various higher learning institutions on best ways of keeping learners safe.

He said the meetings are aimed at ensuring children are safe in schools and be distanced from the ongoing political campaigns in the country.

“Nobody should interfere with learning program, that is why we want crowds to be away because learners are not politicians to listen to politics,” said Matiang’i.
