Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo has asked Deputy President William Ruto to keep off meetings called upon by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) saying he is not a presidential candidate.Amolo has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta's refusal to attend a second meeting which NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga himself attended, was not sending a good signal by Jubilee side."Jubilee’s attitude does not move us forward. The meeting organized today by IEBC had asked that presidential candidates be present. Nasa presidential candidate attended but Jubilee's candidate snubbed," Amolo told Citizen TV's, The Big Question. He added: "Note that this is for the second time it is happening. William Ruto is not a candidate but a running mate. Next time, let him not come."Amolo, who is also one of NASA senior lawyers, also accused Jubilee of speaking from both sides of its mouth over contentious issues that need to be resolved ahead of repeat October 26 poll."Why would Jubilee say they are happy with IEBC yet push for election laws amendments? You cannot also say you agree with EU and at the same time say that the parliamentary process proceeds," Amolo added. He noted that issues raised by Nasa as irreducible minimums are not private and will continue pursuing them as they are all 'reasonable'.He asserted that Nasa remains open to engaging with IEBC adding that 'to save this nation, we must discuss the issues on the table, and do so with respect'.
