Governor John Nyagarama on his part asked fellow politicians to maintain peace and order as they embark on campaigns next year, noting that the electorate has the final say at the ballot.

"Let's maintain peace among the electorate, when we shall embark on luring the voters for their support, let's preach peace and ask for votes in a polite way, otherwise it's only the voter who decides on who to elect," noted Nyagarama in his address at Gesima.

The governor's sentiments were echoed by County Commissioner Joseph Rotich who warned politicians that they will fce the law if they disrupt peace during their campaigns.

"You are brothers, respect other people's opinions, differ but let not your tempers disrupt peace, the law would not spare any, we shall ensure that all Nyamirans are safe from politicians who don't want peace," said Rotich.
