Politicians have been challenged to stop using church platforms to tarnish their rivals image for their own selfish gains.
Former Kenya National Library and Services chairman Samuel Nyangeso said churches are meant to preach God's word and not for mudslinging.
“I am calling upon politicians in Gusii region and the country at larger to stop using church platforms to accuse their rivals for their own selfish gains.
He spoke Sunday during a fundraiser at Geta PAG in West Mugirango, Nyamira County.
He also called on Kenyans to pray for the government and its leaders to fight corruption in the country which has hindered development.
His sentiments were echoed by West Mugirango MP aspirant Steve Mogaka who appealed to Kenyans to elect development-conscious leaders.
