Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) has moved to beef up its distribution channels.

The local beer manufacturer on Wednesday announced opportunities for distributors for its Senator Keg and spirits.

In notices of expression of interests from investors placed in local dailies, the firm said the plans were aimed at growing sales for its products.

"KBL has opportunities for additional beer and spirits distributors in Machakos, Kwale, Voi and Taita Taveta counties,” read the notice.

The country's largest and oldest producer of beer announced for more opportunities in various counties.

“KBL and UDV have opportunities for additional Keg and spirits distributors in Malindi, Kitale, Kilifi, Bomet, Migori, Kapsabet, Bungoma, Busia and Narok.”

The beer maker revealed it has set out stringent financial and contractual requirements for potential investors.

KBL, a subsidiary of UK Diageo's East African Breweries Ltd, in July broken ground on its planned Sh15 billion brewery in Kisumu which is expected to be completed in two years.

Sitting on 55 acres on the edge of Lake Victoria, the plant will initially process only Senator keg but it is expected to expand operations up to a quarter of the company’s production capacity.
