Obura has been viewed by his colleagues as a Jubilee mole, a factor that led to being booed by the crowd in Kisumu during the viewing of the late Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang’s body.

Kisumu City Residents Voice Association chairman Audi Ogada challenged the legislator to resign from his seat and seek re-election with another party.

“Instead of wasting time opposing his party ODM and the Cord coalition, he should be responsible enough to quit the party and resign from his seat in parliament,” Ogada said.

Jubilee coalition has a number of political parties which we are sure will be more than ready to receive this rebel MP.”

Manyatta Youth Bunge chairman Benson Onoka also asked Ken Obura to ‘stop wasting time in politics at the expense of his constituents’.

“Obura has done nothing in Kisumu Central since he was elected as he busy seeking attention from President Uhuru and his deputy Ruto.

“Whatever Raila has done for this country can never be matched with Obura’s achievements in his own constituency,” said Onoka.

The two representatives asked the ODM Governing Council to expel the Kisumu Central legislator from the party as he is against the ideologies of the party.
