Kibra MP Ken Okoth has hailed the first batch of beneficiaries of his Kibra constituency CDF bursary kitty.

The inaugural students to first received the monies under his leadership just completed high school and the MP is not having time to rest over the joy.

Okoth said that the young students from Kibera had passed their examinations with good grades and were now seeking places for attachment and job opportunities as they await to join college.

"The first cohort of Kibra CDF scholars completed high school November 2017," he said.

"They did very well in KCSE, were disciplined young leaders in their schools and the community. As they get ready for university, they also seek part-time jobs, internships, mentors. Opportunity beckons," he added.

The leader has been at the forefront of championing for education in the slum area that was known for juvenile crime in the past.
