Kibra Member of Parliament Ken Okoth has said that they were finalising on the structures of the Raila Odinga Education Centre in Makina Ward.
Through his official Facebook page, the lawmaker on Tuesday said that the facility would be officially opened in October this year and asked parents to consider educating their children there.
Okoth further said that the school was made to excel with “modern facilities only found in most public schools in developed countries.”
“This school embodies a bold dream, high aspirations, unquestionable hope, hard work, and finesse. Would you consider enrolling your child here? A world-class school with world class ambition of excellence in education for children of Kibra. Official opening in October 2016,” read part of the post.
Most learners in Kibera have had to do with schools with lower-than-average facilities because of their proximity to people of relatively low incomes and this school, once completed, is expected to offer relief to the residents.
