Kibra MP Ken Okoth has asked stakeholders to help combat the crisis of schools shortage in the constituency.

Okoth said the high population in Kibra needed more education institutions to be set up so as to provide literacy to residents adequately.

"Kibra Constituency has faced a shortage of secondary schools to serve our population of approximately 400,000 people. The constituency had only Moi Girls High School, Upper Hill Boys School , Olympic High School, and Raila Educational Centre," he said.

Okoth said they were establishing two new schools to help avert the crisis.

"With our policy commitment of#EducationFirst #ElimuKwanza, Kibra CDF has invested in the construction of Shadrack Kimalel Secondary and Mbagathi High School," he said via his official Facebook page.

"The next project will be Kibera High School; ground-breaking to be done end of 2016 when CDF funds for 2016-2017 come."
