Yatta International Orchestra’s Kennedy Wambua Ngunze, alias Ken Wamaria, and Daniel ‘Churchill’ Ndambuki of the Churchill show are set to perform at the Kitui sevens' event.
Ken Wamaria known for his hits; Fundamentals, Miss Musembi, Wakatimba Pumbafu, among others was in Kitui town to sign a performance agreement with the Kitui County Government's Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports on Wednesday.
The duo is set to perform at the evening party in Intercounty Hotel, Kitui town on June 1.
The Kitui Rugby Sevens will be held between June 1 and 2nd in Kitui County.
It will attract teams from all over the country.
Upon signing the agreement, Ken Wamaria promised his fans a great performance urging them to turn up in huge numbers.
"Come prepared for thrilling fan and dance," Wamaria said.
Kitui business community has been promised good business during the tournament as fans of rugby across the country are set to spend their weekend in the county.
The County Chief Officer Tourism, Culture, and Sports Kimanzi Zakayo said the long-awaited Rugby Sevens Tournament will be felt in all urban centers in the county.
Zakayo told businessmen to prepare for huge sales and profits.
"Our people in the business sector should be well prepared for boom profits, the spillover effect will be felt by all neighboring urban centers such as Wikililye, Mulango, Kisasi, Kabati, Kwa Vonza, Mwingi among others. Players and fans will go to an extent of sleeping in all these towns as they tour our county," Zakayo said.
Other artists set to crown the event include musician T-Bros and Kamba hits celebrity Alex Kasau Katombi among other local musicians.
