A letter to KenKobil Managing Director David Ohana by employees of the company asking for him to leave saying failure to do so would result in the call to boycott KenKobil products.
The employees allege that Ohana has been openly discriminative towards them while also failing to increase the salaries of the employees as he receives a monthly salary of Ksh13 million.
“In the meeting held in Radisson Blue on 22nd Sep, you promised the employees to cause them pain and you are not going to stop. The fear mongering, scare mongering, hating, discrimination, harassment, bullying, intrusion of their private lives, violations of rights has gone overboard,” the statement read.
KenKobil employees also explained how critical and disrespectful Ohana has been towards the Government of Kenya and ministries such as KPC, KPRL, ERC.
“You have no respect whatsoever for the government and the people that play host to you. You are very explosive in industry stakeholders meetings. Always combative to suggest that you are always right and everything has to go your way,” the letter read further.
They finalized there written statement with an ultimatum saying that if it was not met they would call for a boycott on all company products.
“If you Ohana do not leave and the board and the company’s shareholder retain you then I make this passionate plea to the citizens of this country; to humbly boycott all products of Kenol Kobil – fuels, LPG, K-card, lubes.”
