Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Peter Kenneth has accused the County Government of responsibility over the current outbreak of cholera in the County.
Speaking on Monday during a door-to-door campaign in Kasarani constituency, the former Presidential candidate noted that it was embarrassing for a city of Nairobi's stature to battle cholera.
He attributed the outbreak to poor sanitation and drainage in the city.
“In Nairobi, (the) Kidero administration has neglected garbage collection and poor hygienic conditions. Instead of the city being run as a city in the Sun, it is now the city of garbage. The drainage is poor and sewage is just flowing freely,” he said.
The outbreak has left most city residents hospitalized in the recent past, with authorities urging dwellers to stay vigilant.
