Peter Kenneth has overtaken Nairobi senator Senator Mike Sonko in their ranking over the race for Nairobi governor, a study has revealed.
According to the poll by TIFA released on March 31, Kenneth's chances of clinching the seat stand at 20 per cent while those of Sonko remain at18 per cent.
Bishop Margaret Wanjiru comes third with 2 per cent while about 11 per cent remain undecided.
The poll also found out that Governor Evans Kidero still maintains a 46 per cent lead over the rest.
Immediately after announcing his bid in February, Kenneth's chances stood at 20 per cent while those of Sonko were at 28 per cent.
Jubilee still remains undecided over the governor's slot with several aspirants expecting to be backed in the race.
At first, the party formed the Team Nairobi which comprised Sonko, Wanjiru, MPs Dennis Waweru (Dagoretti South) and Johnson Sakaja (nominated).
Sakaja however dropped out and chose to contest for Senator the Dagoretti South MP said he would defend his MP seat, leaving Sonko and Wanjiru to face off with the 'Tunasesmake' slogan maker.
