Nairobi governorship hopeful Peter Kenneth has affirmed his resolve to unseat governor Evans Kidero in the next general elections.
Speaking during a church service on Sunday at Bahati Presbyterian Church, the former presidential candidate accused Governor Kidero of failing in delivering key services to City residents, observing that he is best suited to right Kidero's wrongs.
"If you see the way the ground is, you will tell that people are tired of the kind of leadership they are being offered in the city. And that’s why people from all corners and others like Kidero and his deputy are panicking," he said.
"When I speak about issues, people personalise them. Our city has never been worse as it is today and therefore people need a change," he added.
In January, Kenneth declared his bid for the City's top seat on a Jubilee Party ticket.
He is set to face Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko, Dagoretti South MP Dennis Waweru, Nominated MP Johnson Sakaja and former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru in the battle for the Jubilee Party ticket.
