Popular Chipuka rapper Kenneth Okoth known to many as Kenrazy has hinted that together with his fellow rapper Nixon Wesonga popularly known as Visita, they are planning to come up with a recording label to be known as Hela records.
The two rappers have over the past worked together at Grandpa Records and have recorded various songs together.
Speaking during an interview on a show dubbed Johari and aired by NTV, he told reporter Rashid Abdalla that they wanted to own their own label and be their own bosses having faced a lot of challenges while working under other recording labels in the country.
"Visita and I have been working on an idea of coming up with a recording label in the country. The recording label will give us an easy time to do our work considering we will be our own bosses. Working with other recording labels have been met with a lot of challenges and that is why we are coming up with our own label and it will be known as Hela Records," said Kenrazy.
The rapper also said the recording label will work with both top flight artistes and those still trying to establish themselves.
Hela Records would be used to nurture young talents in the country considering that the young artistes face capital shortage while venturing into music.
He also set it clear that he part ways with Grandpa Records after they failed to honor his part of the bargain while discussing his new contract.
