Human Rights Watch organization has accused Kenya of intimidating and threatening the refugees in order to have them vacate the camp by force.

"The Kenyan authorities are not giving refugees a real choice to leave or stay , and the UN refugee agency isn't giving people accurate information about security conditions in Nairobi. There is no way these returns can be considered voluntary," said Bill Frelick from HRW.

The organization further accuses Kenyan authorities of threatening ng refugees that they would forfeit a Sh40, 000 UN grant if they were to be deported upon the expiry of the set deadline.

"Newly arrived Somali asylum seekers and refugees who were not able to re-establish themselves in Somalia are being denied access to refugee registration or asylum procedures in Daadab, leaving them with no legal status or food rations,'" Frelick added.

The allegations come at a time when the United Nation denied that the refugees were being forced to leave the country voluntarily.
