The new regulations by the Communication Authority of Kenya (CAK) are to take effect from 15th May 2018 in a bid to push out fake gadgets from accessing the Kenyan market.

Also included in the new regulations, vendors of mobile phones will be required to a one or two-year warranty after sale service for every device sold.

CA also stated that samples of the phones should first be sent to their offices for approval before they are sold in different outlets.
