NASA Presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga has said that the county does not belong to President Uhuru Kenyatta. Addressing his supporters during a rally in Nairobi’s Embakasi, Raila said that Uhuru has intentions of clinging to power, which he will not allow to happen at all costs.
The ODM Leaders also accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of colluding with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to ensure that he wins the August general election.
“Kenya does not belong to you. You can’t be a leader without the mandate of the people. The kind of anger you are exhibiting against government institutions means nothing. You cannot scare Kenyans by that kind of rage. If anything, Kenyans are more aggrieved than you because you attempted to steal their will,” he said, as quoted by Nation.
The opposition leader has maintained that he is not ready to take part in the fresh election if his demands are not met. Raila, who is contesting for the nation’s top seat for his fourth time, also said that he is confident of beating Uhuru when that time comes. He was accompanied Co-principals Mr Kalonzo Musyoka and Mr Musalia Mudavadi and several NASA politicians.
