The national team Harambee stars has slipped down one place in the latest FIFA rankings.
They now occupy the 112th position which is one place worse off than the previous position of 111.
The cumulative point tally of 291 means they do not even qualify to be in the top 100 best teams in the country.
Kenya is now 27th on the continent with Tunisia being the best side closely followed by West African giants Senegal in second.
Central African side, Congo occupies a surprising third position after their latest performances earned them more points to warrant the ranking by Fifa.
Uganda is still the best East African side according to the rankings.
World champions Germany are still the top-ranked team in the world has retained that position for quite some time now.
Their unbeaten run in more than a quarter of a century of matches stretching back to 2012 garnered them the most points.
Belgium’s recent resurgence has meant they have been a consistent occupant of the top five positions worldwide.
With the appointment of Belgian coach Sebastien Migne, the long-term project to turn around the fortunes of the national team will perhaps see Stars move further up the rankings.
