The Kenya Ferry will be offering free eye screening services to Kenyans on every last Saturday of each month.

This will be a unique service by Kenya Ferry services, which is known for offering transport services to Kenyans crossing the Indian ocean from Main land to Mombasa Island or either way, free of charge to those on foot or bikes, and for a small fee for those with cars.

Screening people can detect many diseases which the patient may not be aware of. Becoming aware of the many diseases causing blindness can enable one to seek earlier medical attention before the situations get worse, this is because most of the blind causing diseases like 'cataract' do not hurt, making it hard for a victim to sense any danger. It is necessary for one to go for  a screening at least once a year.

This service by KFS will be of much help to those with eye problems, especially for  those who cannot afford expensive eye screening hospital in the region.

The screening will be taking place at KEC, 10 km south of Likoni ferry. It will be starting from 8 am and end at 12 noon.
