It is the first time the country has failed to send a delegate to the ASP since the court began an inquiry into the 2008 post-election violence.

According to Attorney General Githu Muigai, the country will be represented by the Kenyan Ambassador in Netherlands, Makena Muchiri.

The development comes at a time when a number of African sates have announced that they will pull out of the Rome Statute that created ICC.

Already, Gambia has pulled out of the court. Last Month, South Africa announced that it will pull out of the court while speculation are rife that Kenya might withdraw from the Rome statute early next year.
