Kenya has bad manners in honouring heroes, says Koigi

Kenya has bad manners when it comes to honoring its heroes and heroines, Nakuru politician Koigi wa Wamwere has said.

Wamwere said the country has not taken adequate and right steps in honoring the real heroes and heroines.

He said Kenya has lost focus and never bothers to establish who are her real heroes and heroines.

“Our real heroes and heroines have never been recognized and appreciated in the manner they should, but instead we have focused our energies on honoring people who have never done anything for the country,” said Koigi.

He called on Kenyans to honor heroes while alive and stop waiting for them to die before sending out endless tributes.
