A 12-member squad was yesterday unveiled by the Kenya Men’s Volleyball team’s technical bench, ahead of their departure to Cairo on Friday evening.

Rookie Abiud Kipkirui will make his debut in this weekend’s Africa Nation Cup-cum-World Championship Qualifiers.

“It’s always every player’s wish to don national team colours and I’m not any different. However, I look forward to the event and if given chance to play I am willing to show my capability and work together with the team to ensure we record good performance in the event,” said Kipkirui as reported by the Star.

The national team finished seventh in the eight-nation tournament which was held last in 2015 in Egypt and team’s coach Moses Epoloto is optimistic ahead of the week-long event.
