Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo has hailed Raila as the best person to lead Kenya, especially against corruption, because of his honesty.

Midiwo said that Kenyans have seen governments since Kenyatta era as the President up to now. He added that by comparison of all the governments, the grand coalition government of 2008 - 2013 did a commendable job for the nation. He credited the achievements of the grand coalition government to Odinga, who was then the Prime minister.

"Let Kenyans look at history. Commendable achievements were attained in the grand coalition government when Raila was the Prime minister. From infrastructure to economy there were steps made," he said.

The MP added that Raila is a straight forward leader whose interest is to serve Kenyans and to take the nation ahead. He added that Raila has never been convicted nor accursed of corruption scandals because he is an honest leader.

The legislator also reiterated Odinga's remarks on Wednesday at Kisii that even Cord leaders, whether governor or any other person, convicted of corruption will carry their own crosses.

Midiwo spoke at Nam Lolwe FM, a local vernacular radio station on Friday during an interview.
