Kenya has been selected to host the upcoming Africa Internet Summit. The event is an annual regional multi-stakeholder ICT conference.The meeting which will run between May 29 and June 2 at Nairobi’s Boma Hotel is a top educational and business ICT event where players in the ICT sector interact with the global internet community. It was first launched and held in Gambia in 2012.The summit consists of seminars, workshops, conference sessions, tutorials and other forums for sharing ICT knowledge in the African region.The conference’s objective is to bring ICT business and technical community in the African continent together to discuss issues and challenges facing the industry.Participants mainly drawn from the private sector, academia and the public interact on Internet issues and development.Participants will benefit from panels of discussions from international ICT experts who deliver knowledge on ICT and modern technologies. Africa’s internet usage for the last one decade has steadily been rising.
