Omosocho residents in Kisii Central ward Kisii County have accused Kenya power of being slow at solving electricity issues in the area.
According to the residents of Omosocho, there is regular black out in the area as they accuse the management of Kenya power of failing to address the issues once and for all.
Speaking to us at Omosocho on Monday evening residents said that they have been raising complaints with the management but nothing so far has been done.
Led by Gladys Otwere, a business lady with a posho mill, she said that residents encounter loses since they depend on the electricity for their business.
“Most of us depend on electric for our daily business so we urge the Kenya Power to come up with measures which will help us,” said Otwere.
They added that the Kenya Power needs to know whom they give contract and should ensure the persons contracted are always reachable in the event of a blackout.
“We appeal to Kenya Power to help us end this problem through their agents whom sometimes we call and they ignore to responding,” said Mogire, a resident.
