The Kenya Power Company on Saturday explained the reason behind the delayed token codes delivery to customers with prepaid accounts. This comes after a section of customers with depleted electricity units were left in the dark for two days. The customers who had already purchased electricity units waited for over 48 hours without getting the token codes. The situation forced a number of customers to seek assistance at the company’s Kisumu offices.Japheth Ouda, one of Kenya Power's personnel in Kisumu, told a HiviSasa writer that the company was experiencing some technical fault in their system, leading to the delay.“There is a pending technical fault in our system but the problem is being resolved. All will be fine,” said Ouda.Meanwhile, the company has urged residents who are yet to receive their tokens to visit the company’s offices located near Family Bank along Oginga Odinga road to receive their tokens manually.Barbara Cynthia, who runs a bakery in Lolwe Estate, said she was forced to temporarily close down her business premise before she opted to visit the Kenya Power offices. Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Kisumu that you want Hivisasa to cover?
