Kenya Power has identified the cause of power blackout in most parts of the country.
In a statement, the power supplier says a technical hitch emanating from their system led to the loss of electricity in parts of the country.
"Areas affected by the outage include parts of Nairobi, Mount Kenya, Nyanza, Western, Rift Valley and Coast Region," reads the statement.
Kenya Power said the faulty section had been identified and efforts to restore power supply have begun.
