Kenya power has been on the receiving end after two of its vehicles were towed by city askaris over parking fees. This comes after the power provider in the country disconnected City Hall with power. However, they insisted that they had paid for parking fees in advance.
"@county_nairobi askari watches as our vehicle KBG 859C is towed despite having made parking payments in advance," Kenya power tweeted.
The clamping of KP vehicles was seen as a retaliation after City Hall power was disconnected due to millions of debts. Kenyans on Twitter didn't sympathize with the electricity provider as they argued that the company deserved harsh after it was accused of inflated bills.
This is what Kenyans told Kenya Power after they complained of harsh treatment by Nairobi city askaris:
@vincentnyash @county_nairobi may you have big Cranes to tow even those big @KenyaPower Lories. They loot too much much from us. Mkiweza pia. Transformers tow them🤣🤣🤣🤣
@NMokuoroya Does this mean @KenyaPower ,@KenyaPower_Care also feel the pain the same way we do when you over charge and tax us? They should have towed all you vehicles including the one for MD.🤣🤣🤣
@atwori _robert This is how you treat your clients. So I don't understand why you are complaining
@muthauramunuhe Vehicles are mostly towed for parking at undesignated places and pavements ,not for parking fees , be creative when lying for PR daft!
@machukakenett So why is that vehicle in category of private??? Mtajua hamjui
@Miriamnjoki @county_nairobi @KenyaPower paid first complain later.. That's what you tells us when we complain. Taste of your own medicine
