As the league advances to its ultimate stages, there was lively action over the weekent with most of the adrenalin running in the battle against relegation.
Defending champions Tusker FC did not show mercy to relegation candidates Muhoroni Youth as they went ahead to whip them 4-0.
The match was staged at Tusker's home in Ruaraka.
Travelling Thika United was also staging a hard fight against fellow relegation-threatened Western Stima at Moi Stadium Kisumu. The teams took a point apiece after a 1-1 final whistle result.
In Mumias, Kakamega Homeboyz suffered a surprise defeat at the hands of visiting Nakumatt courtesy of a 2-1 final result. Kepha Aswani scored a brace to cancel a 39th minute goal by Wycliffe Opondo.
Sony and Nzoia settled for a 2-2 draw while relegation-fighting Mathare United handed Gor a 1-0 defeat at the Thika stadium.
Sofapaka beat Bandari 2-1 in Mombasa, Sharks were held to a 2-2 draw by Chemilil, AFC Leopards were whipped 2-0 by Rangers while Zoo and Ulinzi went for a goalless draw.
Gor Mahia still top the table with 60 points ahead of second-placed Sofapaka who have 48 points.
