The Kenya Railways Corporation has suspended SGR ticket bookings.Through a public notice on Monday, Kenya Railways announced a temporary suspension on booking of Madaraka Express tickets from January 1, 2018.The suspension was occasioned by the need to reschedule the train’s services starting January.“As MNSGR will adjust N1/2 and E1/2 trains’ schedules from January 1, 2018, please be informed that there will be a short temporary sale suspension of tickets that date from January 1, 2018,” read the notice in part.“We shall notify you in due course on when to recover the sales soon. Kindly accept apologies for any inconveniences caused.”This comes after Kenya Railways also rescheduled passenger services on December 1, following the introduction of the inter-county trains. The inter-country train has been departing Nairobi at 0800hrs to arrive in Mombasa at 1300hrs. From Mombasa, the train leaves at 0715hrs to arrive in Nairobi at 1315hrs.Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Mombasa County that you want Hivisasa to cover?
