Kenya has been ranked position 50 on the world list of hungriest nations.
According to a report by International Food Policy Research Institute and Concern Worldwide published last week, the nation has a serious hunger problem that needs to be addressed immediately.
The country has a score of 21.9 in the Global Hunger Index[GHI] and is rated between the war-torn Iran[with a score of 22] and Egypt[13.7].
The report also states that the hunger level globally is still high despite massive improvements in the food security sector since 2002.
''Ending global hunger is certainly possible, but it's up to all of us to ensure that we set the priorities right to ensure that the governments, the private sector and civil society devote the time and resources necessary to meet this important goal.''Said Senggen Fan,IFPRI director general.
The rating could be true considering the fact that some parts of the nation are currently facing drought and hunger.
Parts of the nation including Samburu and Kilifi are facing a prolonged drought leaving.
